75 years in the city of Plymouth

Proud To Be Part Of A City That Is Going Places

For 75 years, we have known that Plymouth is a wonderful place, but now it is finally receiving the recognition it deserves. Recently, Time Out magazine named Plymouth the most underrated travel destination in the UK. And now Totaljobs has revealed that Plymouth is the top city in England to live and work in.

Plymouth stands out among other English cities for its excellent quality of green spaces, affordable rent, and short commute times. Additionally, it ranked first in two crucial categories: “cheapest childcare” and “cheapest to buy a house” out of all the cities surveyed. As Julius Probst, European labour market Economist at Totaljobs, said, “…loving where you work is becoming just as important as enjoying what you do for work.” We couldn’t agree more! Tecalemit started producing equipment in Plymouth in 1948; as they say, the rest is history.

A City That Is Going Places

Plymouth is a thriving city located in the South West, nestled beside the sea. With an exceptional quality of life, a world-famous maritime past, a bustling city centre, and an enviable waterfront location. All this makes Plymouth the ultimate destination for living, working, and playing. As an ambitious and forward-thinking city, Plymouth is on the verge of some exciting changes. These include the vast potential for our universities to grow and the redevelopment of Royal William Yard and Millbay. These projects have been recognised as among the top 50 regeneration initiatives in the UK.

Plymouth is a great place to live, with its stunning seaside location and the beautiful Dartmoor in the background. The protected waters of Plymouth Sound and nearby rivers provide a wide variety of water activities, including sailing, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, and scuba diving at numerous shipwreck sites. Additionally, Plymouth is the site of the UK’s inaugural National Marine Park, which acknowledges the value of the area’s marine heritage and seascape.
