Tecalemit Renew Safe Contractor Accreditation

Posted on

Tecalemit will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2022, and it understands that its customer organisations value established and proven supply partners for their workshop equipment projects.

Many of Tecalemit’s clients possess their own quality standards programmes and require supply partners to demonstrate compliance with key foundation competencies such as Health & Safety.

Tecalemit has just renewed its safe contractor status. It is working in partnership with Altus to achieve accreditation under their Safe Contractor scheme. Altus’s SafeContractor programme is an SSIP accreditation that collects and verifies information on health, safety, financial, and ethical practices—even extremely specific areas such as permits to work at height or hazardous material handling. It even includes the common question sets defined within PAS91.

A rigorous assessment that ensures SSIP assessments are all judged on core criteria approved by HSE. These core criteria describe what it means for a business to comply with basic health and safety laws.

This reassures Tecalemit clients with preferred supplier lists that Tecalemit’s health and safety compliance has been independently assessed and validated to meet their contractor requirements.
