City and Guilds Training from Tecalemit

Posted on

After several months of detailed and intensive work, Tecalemit was confirmed as an official City and Guilds Training Centre on January 6th. Tecalemit is now approved to provide a Level 3 Certificate in Mobile Air Conditioning Systems. This Certificate has three levels: the initial F-Gas qualification (licence to practice) that is already provided, a Service Technician Qualification, and a Diagnostic Technician Qualification.

Since June 2010, Tecalemit has been providing the F-Gas Qualification through the IMI Awards Scheme to customers with A/C servicing equipment. Following the success of the program, it was decided that the company should develop its capacity to deliver training to end users and establish a formal structure through which all training is managed.
Gaining the accreditation is a significant achievement for the company and provides a platform to genuinely contribute to the quality of vehicle servicing in the UK. The new Training Department is officially registered with City & Guilds under the title of Tecalemit Training College ([email protected]) and has 3 nationally based Approved Assessors.

It’s not the first time that Tecalemit has offered training; older garage equipment fans may recall the Tecalemit Training School for Chauffeurs and Mechanics (1932) in Acton and the Tecalemit Student Engineer Training Scheme (1940s to late 1950s) in Plymouth.
