Case study Allied Vehicles, the management team don’t like downtime

Posted on

Allied Vehicles has just short of 600 people on the payroll, making it one of Glasgow’s major employers. This diverse motor industry company turns over £100m and has more than 100 items of Tecalemit equipment, including in excess of 50 vehicle lifts.

The firm is involved in accident repair, servicing, warranty work, taxi sales and the conversion and adaption of wheelchair accessible cars and minibuses. It is an official Peugeot dealer.

Scottish Sales Manager Jim McDermott describes Allied Vehicles as a well-resourced customer that buys equipment from “an incredibly well-informed base” and that listens to advice, but also knows what it wants.

Some of Allied Vehicles’ operations run for 24 hours a day … and the management team don’t like downtime, so when they need something, they need it quickly – which is the service Tecalemit is tasked with providing for them.
