Tecalemit Garage Equipment Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of MoT and garage equipment, is demonstrating its new SBM V780 wheel balancer on stand H18 and H19 at Mechanex 2008, Donnington Park on the 20th & 21st February 2008.
On the stand will be members of the Tecalemit technical sales team who will be demonstrating the new SBM V780 automatic wheel balancer. The V780 introduces a high-tech, high spec level of balancing and wheel preparation.
Specifically designed for specialist tyre shops and fast-fits, the V780 balances the wheel through an automated cycle, during which it scans the surface of the tyre to build up a profile.
The information collected is then analysed and a calculation given showing the optimum position for each tyre in order to achieve precise balance and eliminate run-out ,or drift, which may cause the vehicle to pull to one side. It also helps to maximise the life of the tyre, fuel economy and passenger comfort.
The SBM V780 is fitted with a pneumatic wheel lift and clamping system to remove the need for manual handling and solve the problems surrounding the mounting of heavy run-flat and high performance wheels. Using patented technology, the V780 offers rapid precision measurement and has been designed for use by the most demanding tyre specialist.
Alongside the SBM V780 wheel balancer will be the AL 518/TH automatic tyre changer, specifically developed to meet the needs of the modern tyre shop. The AL 518/TH is ideal for use when both removing and fitting heavy run flat and low aspect tyres and can even cope with the wheel and tyre combinations used in motorsport.
Also on display this year is Tecalemit’s DiX 480 modular emission tester. The DiX 480 can be supplied as either a basic diesel engine smoke meter, a petrol engine 4 gas analyser, or a combined emission tester. It uses a Windows XP™ operating system and the basic unit comes with a mobile cabinet which houses a PC, printer, keyboard, monitor and mouse.
The DiSpeed magnetic engine speed measurement tool comes as standard and diagnostic modules for OBD fault code reading and resetting can be added, along with an oscilloscope for in-depth diagnostic work.
Visitors to the stand will also have a chance to inspect the AC2500 air-conditioning servicing unit. With easy to read high and low pressure gauges, a refrigerant bottle heater which speeds up recharging and twin filtration system, the unit is housed in a heavy duty cabinet with lockable wheels for durability and ease of use
