Tecalemit teams up with Unipart in bid for Gold

Tecalemit Garage Equipment is sponsoring the Unipart Automotive Garage Equipment Services (GES) karting team, in their bid for first place at the 2007 BEN Karting Championship.
The Unipart team took second place in the qualifying heats at Sandown Park, Esher, earlier this year. They will now race in the finals this September at the Paul Fletcher International track in Grantham, Lincolnshire.
“Tecalemit has already teamed up with Unipart to supply our customers with a great service, so supporting the karting team in their effort to raise funds for BEN, is an added pleasure,” said Philip Cledwyn, Sales and Marketing Director for Tecalemit.
The Unipart team is headed up by Malcolm England, General Manager Unipart Automotive Garage Equipment Services. The team includes drivers John Neill, GroupChief Executive Officer of Unipart Group, and his son Alex Neill.
All monies raised from the Championship are donated to BEN, the Motor & Allied Trades Benevolent Fund, which has been set up to help the automotive and related industries provide care and support for employees and their dependants in times of need.
“We achieved third place last year, and won ‘Top Fund Raiser’ for the championship, raising over £5,300,” said Malcolm England. “This year we are going for top place in both categories. As always, it will be great fun to compete, but our main aim is to raise as much as we possibly can for BEN.”
