Petite Ella does a quick change for Tecalemit

Tecalemit Garage Equipment Ltd, the UK’s leader in MoT and garage equipment, will be exhibiting its new super automatic tyre changer on stand 57A, at this year’s Brityrex International.
The new AF3000 is one of the most sophisticated tyre changers on the market, but it is so easy to use. In fact it’s so easy that following a little basic training, 22 year old model Ella Durston, will be showing off her new-found trye-changing skills on the Tecalemit stand, throughout the Show.
Using the most advanced design principles, the new tyre changer eliminates any need for any manual lifting and levering. Indeed, Ella will be happy to prove that it’s so effortless, even a petite model can do it.
The new AF3000 has been specifically developed to meet the needs of the modern tyre shop and almost eliminates the possibility of damaging the wheel rim, when changing tyres. This makes it ideal for both removing and fitting heavy run flat and low aspect tyres - it can even cope with the wheel and tyre combinations used in motorsport.
The wheel is mounted horizontally and problems traditionally associated with this, have been overcome through smart design. Its rollers have an operating pressure of over 3000lb force – sufficient to release even the most rigid tyre walls from the rim, and it can accommodate wheels up to 22’’ wide, with rim diameters from 10 to 30’’.
The AF3000 removes the tyre using Tecalemit’s patented operating tool, a hook then collects the tyre, lifting it over the wheel rim whilst the wheel is rotating. An automatic positioning system allows the operator to accurately locate the head on the reverse side of the tyre.
Fitting the tyre is as simple as removing it, using the AF3000. Rollers guide the tyre whilst a pneumatically operated helper arm applies downward force to stop the tyre lifting as it is pushed onto the rim. The integral inflation system, operated by a foot pedal, then allows the operator to re-inflate the tyre, whilst the rim is still mounted on the tyre changer.
