Tecalemit Garage Equipment Ltd will be exhibiting at the UK’s premier rail industry event, Railtex, at London’s ExCel Exhibition centre for the first time in February 2007, stand H22.
Tecalemit will be showing mobile lifting columns, capable of raising entire trains and their carriages, up to 100 tonnes in weight. It will be partnering with Italian company Emanuel SRL, which produces a range of electromechanical mobile column lifts, of which Tecalemit is the UK and Ireland distributor.
Railtex 2007 represents the UK rail market - the best in railway technology and innovation.
With traffic on the UK’s main line rail network continuing to rise, passenger rail use is now greater than at any time since the 1960s. Rail freight tonnage is also growing, with the amount moved through the UK system showing a growth of 9.5% (year ended March 2005).
Over the next 10 years Network Rail plans to spend £20 billion on renewals and maintenance to meet capacity demands. With investment continuing at this high level, the rail supply industry can look forward to a buoyant market. RAILTEX provides a unique opportunity to target that market.
