Tecalemit Garage Equipment Ltd, the UK’s leader in MoT and garage equipment, has supplied specialist mobility company Allied Vehicles with a range of garage equipment for its new Glasgow facility.
The new 100,000 sq ft site will benefit from a workshop kitted out with the latest Tecalemit equipment, including 28 Azur 2.8 tonne 2-post lifts.
“We have been using Tecalemit equipment for over 10 years because of its proven reliability and cost-effectiveness. The new equipment will enable us to lift the full range of our vehicles, from mobility cars to MPVs to minibuses” said Allied Vehicles Managing Director Gerry Facenna.
The SF8907 Azur 2.8T 2 Post Mechanical Lift is suitable for use in most car workshops, with a baseframe design that allows for clear lifting of high bodied vehicles. The lift can be installed onto a 150mm thick, level, C25 concrete slab. Key features include an automatic arm locking device, extremely low lifting height of 90mm, electronically controlled failsafe system and self lubricating nuts covered on a five year warranty.
Tecalemit provides a complete range of lifting solutions for vehicles ranging from two wheelers to 18 wheelers. All Tecalemit vehicle lifts meet or exceed current EU legislative requirements for safety and electromagnetic emissions and can be designed and manufactured to be client specific, for use with busses, trucks or plant equipment.
Allied Vehicles provides a range of new and used wheelchair accessible vehicles, for sale to both private and public users. The vehicles are in use serving hospitals, schools, care homes, community transport and other public and voluntary sector organisations. Established in 1994, the privately-owned company employs around 350 people in the UK, 250 of which are based at the new Balmore Road site in Glasgow.
