Tecalemit Garage Equipment Ltd, the UK’s leader in MoT and vehicle servicing equipment has launched its new ultra light vehicle weighing technology.
With plates weighing in at just 10 kg, the AFX-100 is totally portable, highly robust and simple to use, making it the perfect solution for on-site or roadside weighing of cars, vans and trucks.
Using the latest multi-sensor technology, the Tecalemit weighing system runs from 2,000 kg up to 20,000 kg per plate with an accuracy of +/- 0.1%. Results are displayed on an integrated LCD screen on the plate, or via a remote, wall-mounted display screen.
“Overloading a vehicle is an absolute offence, which means that an offence is committed even if the driver or haulier did not know that the vehicle was overloaded,” said Phil Cledwyn, Tecalemit Sales Director. “Fines of up to £5,000 or even disqualification for overloaded vehicles make it crucial that both drivers and operators are aware of vehicle weight issues.
“The AFX-100 will ensure that vehicle fleets are road legal and operating at maximum efficiency, which could also deliver fuel savings,” he said.
The AFX-100 can be used either in a workshop environment or off-site – making it the ideal weighing solution for operators, drivers and consigners.
Tecalemit’s new AFX-100 weighing system features an ultra flat construction for easy handling, simple calibration, and it can be extended to use up to four weighing plates.
The ultra light weighing plates are made of high resistible aluminium alloy and optional quick assembly mounting and de-mounting ramps are also available, guaranteeing fast installation of the weighing system.
Tecalemit offers a complete range of workshop and MoT testing equipment, all with a 12 month warranty and full service back-up from its team of in-house, factory-trained service engineers, located throughout the UK. On-site maintenance, testing, re-calibration and troubleshooting can all be carried out on site, minimising any downtime for customers.
