Application
The TD Dismoke 4800 Diesel Engine Smoke Meter is the 6th generation of diesel engine smoke meter from Tecalemit who have consistently remained at the forefront of exhuast emission testing in the UK.
The TD 4800 has been developed from our current TD 5430 model which is chosen by VOSA for use in all GVTS Stations. The TD 4800 evolution incorporates that same patented smoke chamber engine speed detection systems but is stored on a compact printer. Alternatively an optional trolley is available.
The data gathered in the smoke chamber is transmitted via Bluetooth communication to the ruggedized portable handset where data is dispalyed on a large backlit LCD screen. Operation of the unit could not be simpler, following clear on screen prompts.
The Smoke Head is light (3.5kg) and compact with a single probe to cover all vehicles. For MOT Testing changes in engine speed are automatically recognised, no need to measure RPM.
No weekly calibration required - patented linearity test is performed automatically. The TD DiSmoke 4800 is suitable for all Classes of UK MOT testing and available for delivery from August 2008 onwards.
